'Edge of Human', previously known as 'Monolith', is Bekki's fourth studio album.
Tracks from this album have been included on a variety of compilation albums from around
the globe.
As noted by AD Music, this release could almost be viewed as Bekki's third album rather
than her fourth, as with only a few exceptions the tracks on this album bridge the 7-year
gap between Shadow of the Wind and Innersense. Originally intended for release in 2001, 'Edge'
even contains one track that pre-dates her debut album Elysian
Fields!
The music on 'Edge of Human' is typically Bekki in style; however, unlike her classic
album Innersense, 'Edge' concentrates as much on the
synthetic as the symphonic. Full of rich melodies and intricate sequencing, the album is
sure to endear itself to fans of her previous releases.
As well as playing live flute, Bekki has also put the many talents of friend and
guitarist Paul Barraclough to good use on this release, most notably on her favourite
track 'Ephemeris'. |
