Bekki's debut concert, and her first encore! She loved this one, mainly because
she feels that she played really well and, most importantly, that the audience enjoyed
themselves.
Despite feeling a little bit (understatement of the century) anxious about how her
music would be received, the encouragement from David Wright and the build-up from BBC
Radio Derby's Ashley Franklin soon set her mind at rest. Following the concert, a huge
amount of pre-release orders were taken for Elysian
Fields and the audience reaction was fantastic (much to Bekki's delight and
amazement).
Music was of course taken from Elysian Fields
during this concert, and the set was her longest to date - 60 minutes, plus her encore
(which later ended up on Shadow of the Wind
as 'Night Flier' - and which in turn was to become one of Bekki's most frequently
broadcast and used tracks). |
