Live Performances   |   The EMMA 4 Festival
Derby Assembly Rooms, May 31st, 1997.
Performances also by T-Bass, Kinetic and Harvey Bainbridge.

This concert was performed at the Derby Assembly Rooms as part of the EMMA 4 festival. Due to technical problems suffered by some of the other performers, Bekki was asked to perform her set first, because, as usual, she had set up her equipment in ten minutes flat. (Just one of the benefits of having a really basic set up - Bekki has become known within the industry as "Little Miss Speedy".)

The concert itself remains one of Bekki's favourites. She feels that she played well on the day, and despite a relatively small audience she says that they were some of the nicest people she’s performed for. She thanks everybody who came up to her afterwards simply to say how much they enjoyed the music.

Music played at this concert was taken largely from Shadow of the Wind, although a couple of tracks from Elysian Fields were also used, namely 'Megaera' and 'Elysian Fields, Part 2'. Bekki's set lasted for 45 minutes.

A special "Thank You" has to go to her friend Dave Barker (aka Asana), who rushed up to Derby with his keyboard stand when Bekki's collapsed minutes before she was due to go on stage. Cheers, mate!
