Support to The Enid. |
Bekki's most prominent memory of this concert is that she remembers feeling
totally awe-struck - and petrified - when she heard Robert John Godfrey of The Enid having
his sound check.
Having been witness to some of the most powerful and melodic music she had ever heard
(and remember, this was just the sound check!) she remembers feeling a really huge pang of
inferiority and nervousness as she took to the stage.
But she needn't have worried because the audience were terrific. They were not in the
least bit afraid to listen to - and accept - something a little different. The
enthusiastic comments following the concert were a real boost to Bekki, so thanks, guys!
Music was taken from the Elysian Fields
album, and the set lasted for 45 minutes. Bekki feels that she played quite well, given
that she was supporting an absolute maestro.
It also has to be said that Robert John Godfrey was a really nice guy. Not only
talented and intelligent, but also in possession of a great sense of humour. And as a side
note, anyone who likes gorgeous, melodic music should check out Robert's 'Tears of the
Sun'. It's stunning work. |
