Festival headlined by Klaus Schulze. |
Bekki actually can't remember a great deal about this concert as she was
absolutely petrified at the prospect of playing to almost 1000 people - and as such, she
drank way too much Southern Comfort before going on stage...
As things turned out, this concert proved to be one of her biggest successes, and sales
of Elysian Fields on the
day went through the roof. Bekki's only regret: She never met Klaus Schulze, who was
headlining the event. Bah humbug!
Main memories of the day include then-husband Paul and her mum trying to sober her up
with gallons of black coffee (she hasn't touched a drop of alcohol before a concert since
that day), her mum making cobs for the entire AD Music crew, and Bekki making a huge
mistake on 'Charon' and having to improvise. (Incredibly, the live 'messed up' version
sounded better than the original, and has been used on stage ever since!)
As you would expect, the music played during this performance was taken from Elysian Fields. Bekki's set
lasted for 45 minutes. |
